A fair world?

The state our world is currently in is very daunting and it upsets me so much. Discrimination and racism are still taking place widely around the world without anyone taking concern and caring. People care only when you're either famous or white. Deny me all you want, but you yourself know that it's true.

Sure, I myself am very saddened by the tragic event in Paris but people tend to forget that this happens in countries like Syria and Palestine on a daily basis. Also, what about the suicide bombing that happened in Beirut the day before? Earthquake in Japan, attack in Kenya, hurricane in Mexico, another bombing in Baghdad, killings in Afghanistan, you name it. So much is happening in this world within such a short period of time yet people are only acknowledging the Paris attack. And you know what the saddest part is?

The fact that people are making connections between the attack and the refugee crisis. Like be real people, the same civilians who lost their homes and had to carry the smallest number of belongings as possible in order to survive? It makes me so sick that these people are the ones always end up getting blamed on for terrorism. Honestly, it makes no sense. They risked their lives to escape terrorism, not to start another war. In fact, it applies to the Muslim population as a whole. We've been generalised as terrorists because of the violent acts done by extremists that are claiming that they're doing it for the sake of Islam when violence is something that is highly prohibited in Islam. And the reality is, we Muslim are the victims. We get blamed, discriminated, hated etc.

I however on this side of the world am indeed lucky. I am very fortunate to be living in a very diverse city where most people here have been exposed to the fact that Islam is not a religion that teaches violence but it is a religion of peace. For my Muslim sisters and brothers on some other parts of the world, facing all this is not easy.

This must end.

When things like this occur, we as humans must unite and help each other out regardless of our race and beliefs rather than blaming it on each other. This is common sense. But don't even bother, I highly doubt that it still exists in our world today.
