Broga Hill

Hello blog, long time no see! *blows dust*

I really wish that I've blogged more :( I've lost count of how many times I've clicked on the new post button, typed something and ended up deleting everything or just store it in my drafts over the past few months. It's always either I finish writing the post and just don't feel like posting it, or I just had no time to continue writing. Mostly the second one la :(

IB, that's why. I'm only 2 months into IBDP and I'm already dying. You may say that it's just me exaggerating but I say it's the truth, a fact. I thought 6 subjects compared to 8(or 9) last year is no big deal, but y'know we all make mistakes every now and then. Oh, and that's only the first semester :DDDDD

Anywaaaaaaaaayysssss, we had this whole week off and that means time to compensate all the late nights up. Not really. Still had to wake up so early on most days. Like on Monday, I was already up by 3:30 am. Yes, you read that right, I WAS UP BY 3:30 IN THE MORNING. By 4:30, we were already on our way to Semenyih complete with hiking clothes, and all that. Y'know, no big deal. Just me being my healthy self. We were on our way to Broga Hill, cause what better way to spend an off day, amirite, amirite?

Also known as Bukit Lalang- named after the species of grass that grows abundantly all over the area-, Broga Hill is said to be a place where British-sided rebels fought against the Japanese during World War II.  Because of that, some believe that the town is haunted by those who were massacred during the time of the Imperial Japanese.

Do it for the CAS hours yo

As we started hiking, the sun, which we were supposed to watch rising at the peek of the hill too, crept out. We later found out that to actually witness the sunrise up there, we'd have to start hiking by 2-3 am. Lol, never mind. I'm good, down here also ok =="

Throughout the hike, my ears had to endure listening to complains about how Kak Dora and Acap both would rather be at home in their beds and Ayman on the other hand with his Uncle Bob's ayam goreng._. They're such lazy bums I swear man. Such high level of inertia they have mindset-wise and physically.

In all seriousness though, I HAD SO MUCH FUN HIKING!!!! Maybe I'm a sports person after all, and hiking is the sports of my talent. I mean, I wasn't only walking the whole way uphill, I also ran and skipped, so amazing, I am:') Hmmm, should really think about this. It felt so nice being in contact with nature and sweating so much once in a while. Trees and rocks here and there. It made me feel so refreshed and tranquilised.

Went downhill feeling like a new person. So energized, so motivated and then saw a signboard. It said 1.7km to the peak of Broga Hill, rolled my eyes, and mumbled to myself, LIES. I did not hike ONLY 1.7km, no T.T
