40 000 ft above the ground thoughts

Besides sleeping I also did something productive in the 7-hour-something flight back home. Not really. I honestly do not enjoy long plane rides. All I could think of when I'm in the air is touching down on the other airport and it just hit me how weird airports were.

Like you start off in one airport and then end up in another, thousands of miles away. God bless technology.

Various types of emotion is present in this place. On one corner you see one happy family finally being reunited after what seems to be like a year and on the other you see a middle-aged woman painfully weeps right in front of the international departure gate. Probably bidding goodbye to her only child or husband caused all of those tears? A group of excited teenagers with their "no-im-not-looking-at-u" faces when seeing cute guys or girls. Admit it, we all can relate to that.

No one knows who you are, where you are going and why you're there. The only place we're able to get "privacy". But if you're Justin Bieber then I'm sorry this won't work for you.

Kuala Lumpur international airport (KLIA) international departure/ arrival

Being surrounded by thousands of unfamiliar faces of different nationalities (a glimpse of Dubai in a building) who you'll be able to guess they're basic characteristics easily by the way they dress, etc. Wether they're dressing comfy in sweatpants and an oversized hoodie sweater, jeans or dressed up smart and bussiness-y. Eating a Big Mac, eyes stuck on an iphone the whole time *cough* me * cough* reading a #1 New York's Bestseller sci-fi novel or busy typing an overdue email before boarding the plane. Everyone's being themselves here in most cases.

Its just so fascinating to think about how they could be the happiest place and at the same time the saddest place. It's a place full of life. Perhaps that is the reason why I love being at airports so much. I also have this obsession with aerotrains if you guys don't know. Every time I'm at the airport to travel somewhere, that's the most anticipated part hehe.
