MY TOP 10 FAVE RAYA SONGS

Hello everyone, Ramadan Mubarak!

    Right now when I'm typing this blogpost out it's currently 4 in the morning (that's what jet lag does to you). Yep, its been 3 days and I still have a pretty bad case of jet lag. 

    Okay so anyways, can we talk about how its already the end of Ramadan?! It feels so unreal how fast time flies..and we're already celebrating Eid this Friday. YES THATS RIGHT. This Friday. I cannot process this well:'(

I decided to list down my 10 favourite raya songs as thats the case. 

    Hari Raya songs can now be considered as a big part of the Malay tradition ever since the 1940s according to Singapura Stories .Okay, try imagining how we'd celebrate Eid if these seasonal songs didn't exist. It would feel so dull as they bring out the excitement in us (throughout the whole 2 months!).

    Well at this point, malls and streets of Malaysia have been decorated with dazzling raya themed decorations. I find it really nice how there's ketupat, pelita and sometimes even traditional malay houses in malls as decorations to add up to the Eid-ul-fitr vibe. And of course, these Hari Raya songs are played everywhere we go. Wether you're doing shopping in a mall (since its sale season!!!!!), or in your car just driving to a bazaar Ramadan nearby. There's no escaping. They even played one in the flight the other day as we touched down in KLIA. (Add that to my why MAS is my fave airline list)

    Frankly speaking, that's what makes our country unique. We're all so enthusiastic about the celebrations celebrated in our country regardless of our races. Trust me, no matter where you are, when it comes to these celebrations you'd wish to be in Malaysia in that instance.

    Okay I've done so much of talking. You guys must be tired now *inserts laughing with tears emoji* Now, here's my top 10 favourite raya songs

10. Warna Warni di Aidilfitri - Erra Fazira, Shima, Amy Mastura, Hattan & Ameng

9. Satu Hari di Hari Raya- M. Nasir

I get emotional every time this song is on. I mean who wouldn't? The lyrics are just powerful and deep.

8. Menjelang Hari Raya- DJ DAVE

7. Balik Kampung- Sudirman

 Of course, a classical rhythm sang by the legendary

Allahyarham Sudirman. 

6. Selamat Hari Raya - Ahmad Jais

5. Sepuluh Jari Aidilfitri - Fourteen

4.Sesuci Lebaran - Dato Siti Nurhaliza

3. Selamat Hari Raya - Saloma

Ahhh! so many songs with the same title. 

2. Anugerah Syawal -  Bunkface

Bunkface's collaboration with Tv3 in 2013. This song brings up the hype despite it being a recently released song.

1. Suasana Hari Raya - Anuar Zain

Definitely my personal favourite! Sang by Anuar Zain and Elina, I just love how this song describes the Eid-ul-Fitr vibe. I still remember having this as my ringtone when I was like 11 (my annoying 11 years old self tho ew) haha! That's how much I love this song.

Remake of Elina and Anuar Zain's Suasana Hari Raya made by Petronas as their 2014 Hari Raya add. I just love how they made it acoustic!
