a visit home
As we touched down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), I couldn't be happier to lift my butt up again because maaaahnnnn, it was aching after 7 hours of sitting in the plane -___-" On another note, WE'RE HOME. Even before the flight took off, I've already started thinking of all the the roti canai, nasi dagang, nasi pataya, prawn mee etc etc I'll be eating..................... and how much weight I'm bound to put on. Alamak. (its fine, I'll double my exercise routine or something when I get home)
One of the things I really enjoy about our flights home is that its always filled with familiar faces. It gives so much balik kampung feels and this kind of national pride somehow. The flight was smooth, Alhamdulillah. It was also filled with performances by the crying babies choir band (Disclaimer: wrote this for humor purposes only--or at least I think I'm funny la--. Didn't intend to offend or indirect it to anyone. I mean, I do realize that I've been through that too, probably worse lol.) As I had to go through that, I kept on thinking about what I said to Radhika the other day.

Yep, karma is real guys. |
Looking outside of the airport, I was expecting to see the familiar blue sky over Malaysia but um why the hell is it so dark. Oh right, dah malam. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 10:15am but there was a 45 minutes delay, plus the 4 hours time difference. So we pretty much spent our whole day in the flight. That’s why I prefer night flights cause then we’d still have the day to spend on ground, not on air. So by the time we reached home, it was already midnight.
The next day, March 27th we took the earliest flight to Terengganu. We stayed there for two days, just enough time to visit our closest family members and restock our keropok lekor supply. Keropok lekor, a famous Malay fish sausage snack originated from Terengganu which explains why its a must-try thing when visiting this east-coast Malaysian state. Some famous destinations to look at to get a taste of these traditional fish sausages are; BTBLekor in Bukit Tok Beng(requires you to get a number due to its overwhelming number of customers), 008 Kelulut and 007 Kuala Ibai. Obviously, our go-to keropok lekor stall has got to be BTBLekor since its located just around my grandparents' neighbourhood.

All time favorite combo, nasi dagang and keropok lekor. |
On the 28th, we took the last flight back home. I guess our luggages bred whilst in Terengganu cause we came with 2 and left with 4......... and half.

No filter needed, this mosque is already so beautiful. Masyaallah. |
Had a self-pampering day at the spa on Thursday morning. Probably a highlight of the whole trip cause it was so much needed hahaha. Since it was also my cousin's birthday that day, we
Friday was day out with the best friend. IOI City Mall barely had any visitors that day since it was a school day. Oh well, that made our lives easier. At first, seeing as there's a lot of time, we thought of watching a movie after going in a few shops. Well you can guess, it didn't really go as planned. Even so, the day was so much fun filled with catching ups, our ching chong jokes, negotiating whether or not to buy that oh so beautiful cardigan //heart eyes//, and ofc shoving food into our mouths. But of course, it would've been more fun if the others could make it. Sighhhhh, if only school holidays were standardised everywhere. Its okay, we had fun without you guys anyways :P

Cuppy Cakes' tradition est. 2015 ahhahaha |
Saturday too, was a day well spent. Woke up so earlyyyyy that day cause my cousin was picking us up at like 8AM. Well maybe I was slightly late but shhhh. Booked the 10AM session at Jumpstreet but being the (too) punctual human beings we are, we were there by 9:30AM. Seeing that there were still time before our session started, we decided to have our breakfast at the cafe. And um, having waffles before Jumpstreet was a bad idea. By the time we were done with our session, all of our tummies were growling cause y'know exercise kan. Yeah, I'm all bout that healthy life #not . So we drove to IKEA to have their ever so famous meatballs that we've all been craving for, for lunch.
Omg, when I recall, that day was all about eating. After IKEA, we stopped at a kopitiam and again, food-shoving session. I wouldn't even be able to keep track of how many times we ate if it weren't for this piece of technology aka my phone. The day was so much fun, even though it was an incomplete cousins meet-up. Soz, if only it was that easy to have everyone gathered together in such a short notice. We then ended the day with a visit to my aunt's house.

So sad, some people still can't read. |
Sunday was our last full day in KL. Spent that day attending a wedding and it was beautiful! Didn't get to do much afterwards because we had to continue packing since we had to leave for the airport at 9PM. Ahhh, packing home from a trip is so depressing :|
After a ridiculously short week well spent, we were off back to the humongous sandpit aka Dubai. Spent the next day catching up on the precious sleep I missed (so unladylike lol). But mannnnnn, it felt good.
That's the thing about Malaysia, no matter where I go and despite the crises happening inside the country, my love for my country never changes. Even a brief visit back home has refreshed my inner spirits <3
Aaaaannnnddddddd, that wraps up this post. Thank you for reading and oh wow this is my second post for this week alone, I'm catching up! ;)
