wifi-less weekend
This weekend, we were away from the busy busy concrete jungle. It was a short notice getaway (literally found out about it the night before!!) hence I had only a few hours to pack. And boy do I hate packing in such a rush-.- I’m so used to packing weeks in advanced cause I’m that oftenly-overexcited-person, hehe.
To start off the journey, we had our breakfast lunch and right after ordering, I asked the guy who took our order the question I've been wanting to ask since I stepped my foot inside the restaurant:
An hour drive away, we found ourselves in Ras Al-Khaimah. The hotel was so beautiful
I was so excited to find out that they had wifi in the lobby. Haih, after how many hours. But my disappointment started to build up again when I found out that they don't provide free in-room wifi. Not again, sighhh. Decided to take a (much needed) nap instead while my family headed down to the beach.
Despite having to live through the weekend without wifi (I still had hotspot, what a drama queen hehe) I had a lot of fun. It taught me that there's much more to life than just being on my phone. Being on my phone the whole time made me unconscious of all the blessings I have in my life and rather, whine about things I don't have.
Anyways, I decided to blog about this so that I can look back at it. Its just one of those days that I'd like to remember forever.
"Can I have the wifi password?"
*looks at me with deep sympathy*
"Sorry miss, we don't have wifi"
Um, what? Don't lie, you do have wifiiiiii. Like c'mon, its 2016.
Well, they obviously did, the last time I was there they gladly gave me the wifi password when I asked for it //rolls eyes//
Fine, no wifi for me. On the positive side, no wifi = undivided attention to the people around me aka my family (and food, hehe) <3
