My flat-lay attempt. Sighhh, need to work on this one hahah |
But yay to breaking the chain of failed attempts! OKAY, fasting outside of Ramadan is NOT easy. Especially today being the first day, my patience was being tested extra harder. After school, Ayman decided to order KFC and even at the thought of KFC I started drooling. Gosh, so wrong I know, hahaha! In all seriousness though, fasting today has really opened my eyes to all the pleasures / nikmats I've been given all these while as well as tested my patience. Alhamdulillah for both :)
Anyways, I had a pretty great weekend. This weekend lasted slightly longer because we had Thursday off for Isra' Mi'raj. On Thursday I met up with my friends in Dubai Mall (aka my happy place) and boy, was it crowded. Well, when is DM not crowded? When daddy dropped me at the entrance, it was 12:20 pm. Even though I was only twenty minutes late, I still wholeheartedly accepted phrases like "you're so punctual" "Oh yeah, it takes that long to go across the street" that were being directed at me because it was my fault I waited for the very last minute to start getting ready I'm nice.
Typical us, we couldn't decide where to eat at first so we ended up just picking whatever comes to mind first. And that's Scoozi. (I like the name lah, like, scoozi (or scusi as in the Italian word), make way for the queen over here, hehe.) The atmosphere the restaurant had to offer was pretty chill and like pretty much all the other restaurants at that moment, it was full of people. Ordered their aglio olio and it was ok-ok. Wouldn't say that it's the best I've had.

I had so much fun with my girls that day, with all the laughs, catch ups (what catchup? we see each other like everyday lol), basically everything, haha. Like really, we need to do this more often, okay? Oh, and the Huda Beauty lip contours are amazing omg. I'm so obsessed. Like they don't easily smudge and they stay on your lips like forever. If only the stocks don't finish off so quickly T.T .
Walked home later that evening with Saeeun and Syarifah and maaaahnnnn it was hot. 40 degrees ok. The last time I checked, it was still windy and heavily raining. Gosh, the transition. Since my family were all out too that day, I tried persuading them to not leave so soon, cause when they leave, I'll be left at home alone. Good thing I had my drama showing soon after they left so it's okay, you guys are not needed here anymore. #dramasoverpeople :P
On Friday and Saturday, my family and I went to Sharjah and spent the night there. Family time's always so fun. Dubai to Sharjah doesn't take so long, usually only about 40 minutes or so. In the not-so-long car journey, my drama buddy (my sister) and I were catching up on our dramas, duh (or re-watch episode 4 and cry again). Hehe, I love this side interest that both me and my sister share. I mean, I'd always have someone to fangirl over them with all the time kannnn, yay.
Even though this city is bordering with Dubai, it feels so different. It's as if you've stepped into a complete different country when really, it's just another Emirate. Both cities are populated by immense skyscrapers but unlike the metropolitan city of Dubai, I must say, Sharjah is more traditional and culture-rich.

Being alone at home = more concentration to the drama hehe yay. Lol that's probably the only time I'll ever enjoy being alone at home.
